Participants will gain an up-close look at our global pollution problem and become active participants in the efforts to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Our Surfrider CT Sprints series brings an added level of friendly competition to the CT SUP world. An overlay to existing paddle races in the state, competitors go head-to-head for a chance to win prizes all season long, finishing with a grand prize for the season champ.
The loose translation of the Hawaiian definition of “Talk Story” is to converse, share experiences, to be raw, authentic, and bond with those who you are sharing the the moment with. What might at first appear unorganized is actually much more than just an unstructured discussion: we connect with one another and hear inspiring, motivating and historical stories of success, failure and key accomplishments. Along the way, we’ll learn tips and techniques, insights into equipment, the power of positive thinking and how to draw inspiration from the ocean.
