Our Surfrider CT Sprints series brings an added level of friendly competition to the CT SUP world. An overlay to existing paddle races in the state, competitors go head-to-head for a chance to win prizes all season long, finishing with a grand prize for the season champ.

Connecticut Coastal Cleanups

Old Saybrook, CT
Sun Oct 20, 2024
11a-1p

Cleanups are a great way to get up close and personal with our global pollution crisis. We gather data from our findings and enter it into a nationwide database, allowing us to measure the work we're doing on a local level to create a worldwide impact.

We'll be sweeping the shores of Old Saybrook for this month's cleanup! We go rain or shine, so please dress accordingly for the weather, and we love when our volunteers bring their own gloves and bucket (but we always have spares to share!).

Talk Stories

The loose translation of the Hawaiian definition of “Talk Story” is to converse, share experiences, to be raw, authentic, and bond with those who you are sharing the the moment with. What might at first appear unorganized is actually much more than just an unstructured discussion: we connect with one another and hear inspiring, motivating and historical stories of success, failure and key accomplishments. Along the way, we’ll learn tips and techniques, insights into equipment, the power of positive thinking and how to draw inspiration from the ocean.

This series will return soon - stay tuned!
