Sound of No Plastic

At last spring’s International Surfing Day event, Connecticut Surfrider was proud to welcome and display the work resulting from Sound of No Plastic.

Sound of No Plastic is a project created by teachers and students at two Guilford, CT elementary schools centered around the theme of marine litter.  Their project is in response to the global problem of plastic pollution in the world’s oceans and watershed systems. A major goal of the project is to share their learning with a wider audience. Sound of No Plastic can be described as a “research through art experience”,  integrating elementary school science and art.

For more information on the project please visit their website or contact Co-Director and Art Teacher, Mr. Joseph Bernier (BernierJ@guilford.k12.ct.us).
