Meaghan Returns!

On Sunday, September 12th, Surfrider celebrated the return of Meaghan from her cross-country trek to save the planet. The “Ride the Wave of Change” campaign has been an incredible success, raising funds and awareness of the challenges our environment faces. The event, which took place at the Bean & Leaf in New London,  included performances by Barbara & Sara and Brian Kodzis.

Meaghan Minogue, a yoga teacher, will ride her bike from Seattle to Mystic starting June 1, 2010. On her journey she will raise money for charities. She wants to bring awareness to the importance of sustainability, peace and change in a world whose pace is ever increasing.

Surfrider Connecticut is one of her chosen charities to receive money raised through her ride from the West coast to the East coast. Please donate generously, as this money will fund our Rise above Plastics CT! campaign and many other events throughout Connecticut!
